In
1999 the National Dairy Authority served 4,966 dairy farmers across the
country (see project map). These
farmers are based in North Luzon (Ilocos Norte, Benguet, Pangasinan and
Bulacan provinces), South Luzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Albay
and Sorsogon), the Visayas (Cebu, Capiz, Negros Occidental and Leyte) and
Mindanao (Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte).
The said farmers are members of 65 primary cooperatives (Summary
of coverage). The
NDA also assisted other entities such as agrarian reform beneficiaries and
state educational institutions. This
coverage was made possible through its four island offices strategically
located in North Luzon, South Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. as of December 1999
